The arms are Or two watermill wheels Gules and a lyre Azure both garnished Argent and in base a valley Vert semy of quatrefoils Argent seeded Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll (Bénard Guedes style) reading "VALE DE AZARES" in black upper case letters.
Meaning:
"vale de azares" means "valley of mishaps", as in those caused by bad luck, so the arms are not canting but are certainly a pun on the toponym, the clovers (quatrefoils) making it even possible of being construed as a talisman (lucky charm). The lyre and the watermill wheels refer probably to local cultural and protoindustrial activities.
