Shield Vert with base wavy Argent and Azure barrully wavy of four, three mediterranean broom branches Or, conjoined at their proximal ends per pale and per saltire and tied with a ribbon Gules, in chief two bees Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "CODESSOSOodessoso"
Meaning:
The word "codeçoso" can be interpreted to mean "broomful", from "codeço", one of the Portuguese common names for the plant Adenocarpus complicatus — therefore this coat of arms is partly canting. Bees stand for honey, waves stand for water.

Codessoso, or Codeçoso, is one of the ten communes of Celorico de Basto Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 388 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 10,7 km².
