It is a fairly typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain dark yellowfield (village rank).

The arms are Azure a cross Or with three acorns of the Same at each arm in central chief, flanked by two olive trees Argent fruited Or on both sides of the nombril point. Mural crown argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "SANTO ANT ÓNIO DOS OLIVAIS"
Meaning:
The arms are canting, because the acorn cross is representing St. Anthony of Lisbon and the olive trees stand for themselves.
