It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain yellow field.

Shield Vert; a castle Argent with port and windows Gules, masoned Sable; in chief a pair of pliers Argent in bend sinister, superimposed by a palm frond Or in bend; in base two wheat ears Or in saltire. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank)and white scroll (Bénard Guedes style) with inscription in black capitals "MANSORES - AROUCA".
Meaning:
The castle is representing the archaeological riches of the commune and is referring to a maybe castle of the Moors. Pliers and palm frond are referring to St. Christine, the local patron saint, and her martyrdom.
