It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain yellow field.

Shield Vert divided by a bend Or charged with three bees Gules, in dexter base a sheaf of five wheat ears Or tied Gules, in sinister chief a sun radiant Or charged with a Latin cross Sable. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "RAMINHO"
Meaning:
The green colour is representing hope and confidence and the green pastures of the commune. The golden colour of the bend is symbolizing the Christian faith. The red colour is symbolizing importance and valour, also charity and generosity of the local people. The bees are symbolizing the diligence of the local people. The sun with 12 rays and the cross are alluding to St. Francis Xavier, the local patron saint and Jesus Christ himself as the sun of justice. The wheat sheaf is symbolizing the abundance of agricultural products in the commune.
