Shield Or with base wavy of Vert and Argent, a vine leaf vert at dexter and a fig leaf vert at sinister, in chief a goshawk Maron holding a cross patty Gules charged with a Greek cross Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and yellow scroll with inscription in black initials "S. BARTOLOMEU DOS REGATOS".
Meaning:
The base wavy is due to the green colour alluding to the Atlantic. The leaves are symbolizing viticulture and orchards. The cross is alluding to the Knights of the Order of Christ. The goshawk is the local symbol of the Azores.
