Coat of arms

Shield Gules, an eradicated tree Or, in chief a pair of keys in saltire, one of them Or the other Argent, flanked by two oranges Proper (Tawny leaved Vert). Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "" "BELAZAIMA DO CHÃO".
Meaning:
The crossed keys are an attribute of St. Peter, the local patron saint.

Shield Or with base wavy of Azure and Argent, an eradicated chestnut tree Vert, fruited Gules shelled Argent, in chief two she-roes respectant Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "CASTANHEIRA DO VOUGA".
Meaning:
The chestnut tree (Port.: castanheira) is a canting element.

The arms are Vert a fountain, in chief a perfume bottle Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "AGADÃO".
Meaning:
The heraldic fountain in the arms, thus canting, stands for the local namesake Agadão River. The bottle is an attribute of St. Mary Magdalen, the local patron saint.
