Arms and flag adopted in 2002 (exact date impossible to find) (resolution
# II/9/02).
"Arms: (note the similarity to the Arms of the city of Kościerzyna,
which is a separate, urban commune.)
An image of the brown bear, walking to the left, under the branch of
the tree with five green leaves (trunk and branch of the tree - brown).
The ground on which the bear is walking is shown as bended bands of
green and blue color.
The green folds represent forest, fields and meadows and the blue ones
- rivers and lakes.
Flag: a rectangle in the ratio 5:8 composed of three uneven horizontal
bands in colors:
*upper - yellow -3/6 of the width of the flag - represents the sands
and soil of the commune.
*middle - blue - 1/6 of the width of the flag - represents lakes and
rivers
*lower - green - 2/6 of the width of the flag - represents forests
of the commune.
The Arms of the commune are placed in the middle of the yellow (widest)
band.
Ratio of the height of the Arms to the width of the flag is 2:5."
