Płaska rural district flag

An unusual flag is presented by the commune of Płaska, in Augustów county, Podlaskie wojwodship (that's in the northeastern corner of Poland near the Lithuanian border), see the commune's website.

Description: green, near the bottom a wavy white stripe; in center a yellow boat carrying a yellow cross (or gallows?), holding a yellow "M" - the "M" seems to be taken from the arms of Pope John Paul II.

Coat of Arms: vert, a wavy fess argent, in chief a flatbottom boat carrying a gallows (?) holding an "M", all or; in base a hearth argent holding a flame or.
