Arms and flag adopted in 2000 and confirmed in the Law ("Statut) of
October 30, 2003 (resolution # 89/XVI/03).
"Arms: on the light-blue Spanish-style shield head of the white eagle
turned to the right with golden beak and the gold crown topped with the
cross.
Underneath are two, crossed, ceremonial maces (buławy) symbolizing
Piłsudski's military rank - Marshal of Poland.
Similar mace was previously a symbol of the Grand Hetman of the Commonwealth
of Both Nations (Poland and Lithuania).
The white eagle's head comes from the 1919 Coat of Arms of Poland.
Light-blue color of the shield reflects the color of Marshal Piłsudski's
dress uniform.
Flag: a rectangle in the ratio 5:8 composed of two wide light-blue bands
separated by two narrow stripes: white and yellow.
