Arms and flag were adopted on February 13, 2003 (resolution # IV/16/2003).
"Arms are in the form of a so-called Spanish shield, divided into three
parts.
On the green upper right field there is an initial "T". On the blue
upper left field there is a golden Bishop's mitre (infula). On the large
red lower field there are two silver Polish-style sabers, crossed.
Flag: Two ribbons, gold and silver, tied into a knot, divide the fields of the flag into four wedges: upper one - blue, lower one - green, and those on the sides - red."
Trawniki was the site of a Nazi concentration camp ("Ivan the Terrible"
- John Demianyuk) and the SS Training Camp where Goralischer Waffen SS
Legion was supposed to be created (never did), but the Russian, Ukrainian
and Baltic units underwent extensive training.
