Dendrobium engae orchid (the provincial flower). Source: PNG: A fact book on modern Papua New Guinea, Jackson Rannells, Oxford University Press (Melbourne), 1990.

A very minor point according to the cover of Rannells' book. The heart of the orchid is alternately black/white/black etc. instead of white with black outline.

My source:
Fleur d'orchidee á pétales centrales blanche, marques noires. 3 pétales exerieures jaunes á marque blanches. Les 2 outres blanches.I think this says the petals in the centre are white with black marks.
