by James Dignan, 23 July 1997This is the flag of the former Otago Harbour Board, which has been
reorganised, regrouped and renamed since this last flew in the early to mid
1980s. It's a boring flag in a way, in that it just has the initials of the
organisation on a plain background — a building site flag. The clever thing
about it though is that the initials have been nicely shaped into an anchor
— the perfect symbol for a Harbour Board.
