DNV is a risk management company. It is worldwide the no. 4 in ship rating and
has rated about 1/6 of total merchant fleet of the world. Other branches are
risk management and certifications for oil companies, car companies, food and
package, information and telecommunications. The company has 8000 employees
worldwide(200 in Germany) , working in 300 bureaus in 100 countries. For further

Description of flag:
The flag shows the company logo. It is a horizontal bicolour blue over green
(ratio 2:1), both divided by a white fimbriation. In the centre of the blue
field are a white upright anchor and white scales. In the centre of the blue
field is a white inscription "DNV".
