Midt-Telemark Municipality was created on 1 January 2020 by the merger of Bø Municipality and Sauherad Municipality.

The result of this merger is the new symbols for the Midt-Telemark Municipality, which were created by combining the old municipalities, but so far I do not know how this affects the flag.
