Approved by the royal resolution of 21 November 1986 after a drawing by Arvid
Sveen. [c2j87]
A plough, of course, designate the municipality as an agricultural one. It could
have been used by very many units all over, but as [c2j87]
explains, the plough is signifying Balsfjord as the bordering municiplality for
grain - the traditional grain production, and thus also plough, was impossible
north from a line passing through Balsfjord.
