On January 1, 2020 Selje Municipality and Eid Municipality
merged to form the new Stad Municipality.
The result of the unification into a new municipality are new symbols for Stad

Blazon: På raud grunn eit gull hestehovud. English: Gules a horse head or.
Approved by the royal resolution of 26 April 1986 after a drawing by Inge
Rotevatn. [c2j87]
Like wed have seen recently in Gloppen, the design shows a fjord horse, a breed
that is considered "at home" in Eid.
