Approved by the royal resolution of 10 March 1989.
The
municipal web site explains "it illustrates canalization of Bandak-North Sea
watercourse." Or more explicit for us who do not know what that is exactly,
there is explanation at

the Telemark Canal which runs through the municipality and the different height
levels in the canal."
