The blazon is: I grønt et sølv tårn uten krenelering. In English: Vert a
tower no embattlements argent.
It was approved by the royal resolutin of 9 January 1976, after a drawing by
Stein Davidsen.
The simple tower represents a lime kiln i.e. a lime oven. The lime production
from Bærum was very important for the region.
