Descriprion: per fess of six pieces of argent and azure; the shield
surmounted by a crown of three leaves and two pearls.
The arms remind of the middle of the 13th century, when Posterholt
formed one parish with Vlodrop. The two villages had one "schepenbank"(sheriff's
bench), where law was administered. Even then a shield was used of blue
and white fesses. These fesses are also used on the arms of Vlodrop.
