De Liemers is a region in the province of Gelderland, southeast of Arnhem.
The region is bordered by the German border in the southeast, the Lower Rhine in
the southwest, the IJssel in the northwest and the Oude IJssel in the northeast.
About 147,000 people live in the Liemers (2015).
The region held a
contest for the regional flag this summer (2021). Here is the result:
