Skraard (Dutch: Schraard) is a village in Wûnseradiel municipality in the province of Fryslân.
Flag: per hoistdiagonal yellow - green - yellow - green; at the hoist the narrowed municipal flag.
adopted 1955; design: Kl. Sierksma.
Arms: Vert, in bend dexter a six-pointed mullet or, a rose argent and a fleur-de lis or.
These are elements of the powerful Aylva (say: Alüa) family, which moved from Boarnwert (now Dongeradeel) to Skraard. The family stins was northwest of the village church. Green was chosen for the meadows around the village. The placement has been derived from the flag.

Skraard has c. 150 inhabitants and is NW of Bolsward city. It has some national fame as one of the places with the longest one-syllable name.

Nickname: "skieppesturten", "skieppekoppen" - sheep's tails, heads - farmers breeding cattle are more intelligent than those who breed sheep.
"aedsjemigers" - the Skraarder women had to wash their hands on shells in ditches outside the house.
