The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) is an overarching organization encompassing
trade unions within Nigeria. According to it's
website, the NLC was founded in 1978 as the
only authorized national federation of trade unions in Nigeria, taking over for
and uniting the Nigeria Trade Union Congress (NTUC), Labour Unity Front (LUF),
United Labour Congress (ULC), and Nigeria Workers Council (NWC). Headquartered
in Abuja, the NLC's membership currently numbers about 4 million Nigerian
workers united in the mission "to promote rights at work and encourage decent
employment opportunities for all Nigerian workers."

The flag of the Nigeria Labour Congress can be seen in several photographs online (such as here, here and here, the latter being an article addressing labor issues in both Nigeria and Niger).
The flag of the NLC has the same vertical tricolor pattern as the
Nigerian national flag, but with the fly one-third being
red instead of green, and the NLC logo centered on the white section. The logo
itself is in the shape of a cogwheel, as found in many labor or workers'
movements, with the green-white-red colors displayed horizontally inside the
black cogwheel, and the letters "NLC" in black on the white stripe between
indigenous tools.
