Since the council hasn't even adopted a coat of arms officially yet, there is no municipal flag.

Unofficial Coat of Arms

I was informed that the council has not adopted a municipal coat of arms yet. However, there is a design used unofficially, given to the council by the Foundational Committee that existed before. In the upper-right, it depicts a Yaqui Indian with a view of the mountains. To the right is a mountain with the sun behind it, imposed upon the valley. In the lower-left quadrant, there is a fish over water, the coast, and beach as a symbol of fishing and the Pacific Ocean that the municipality borders. To the right is an image of a farmer, tractor, and device upon the valley. At the bottom is the sun with a family imposed over it; below is the image of the Miguel Hidalgo dam with a view of the mountains, which displaced many people and caused the urban development of the locality as a re-accommodation for these people. Two hands stretch out to give importance to the aforementioned. In the border is the year 2024, when it received its municipal council, and at the bottom the motto UNIDAD Y TRABAJO [Unity and Work]. At the top is a ribbon reading the municipal name.

Coat of Arms (as a syndicate)

Before becoming a municipality, the syndicate of Juan José Ríos used another shield. In the top half, it depicts the Miguel Hidalgo dam, representing its history as a re-accommodation for people affected by its construction. Mountains and the sun are depicted, characteristic of that area. In the lower half, on the left quadrant, there is a shackle and dove representing the hope for municipalization. To the right is a typical image of the valley, with fields and the sky above.
