No Flag

It appears Villa de la Paz does not use a municipal flag.

Coat of Arms

As found online, the coat of arms of Villa de la Paz was adopted through a call for submissions from the council under Municipal President Efraín Torres Coronado (1992-1994). In June 1992, the call for submissions was started; its jury was composed of people of a Matehuala mining company and various citizens of Villa de la Paz. Around 20 entries were received; second and third place were entries from Matehuala. The winning design was created by Octavio Flores Peña or El "Neque", but the final design was a fusion of the top three designs in the contest. From the first place design, Guachichil Indian was removed; a mining cart and transporter was added along with the school to the design.

The shield is placed over parchment, and depicts in its inner section at the top: the Cerro del Fraile hill; under it a miner highlights a mining cart filled with ore using the rays of his hard hat, with a transporter above the mining cart. To the right, the Nuestra Señora de la Paz church is depicted. Under these symbols, symbols of the local flora are depicted: organ cactus, cactus, and agave. Under these, the image of the "Benito Juárez" Primary School (previously the Ing. Víctor Garate Valdez School Center) is depicted on an open book which symbolizes education, a pillar of society.
