Ahualulco uses a gonfalon, but I am not sure if it is a permanent flag as it is seen hanging on a table for presentation to the public.

As found online, the coat of arms of Ahualulco was designed by Prof. Roberto Sías, winner of a contest held by the Municipal Council in 1988. The shield has rolled edges in its white border, reading at the bottom "AHUALULCO". The inner area is blue, having in its center a golden cross with red points representing flames in its edges, symbol of faith. The upper-left depicts a red cardinal descending from musical notes, representing the composter Julián Carrillo born in the municipality. The upper-right section depicts the tower of the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria church, historic monument of the city. The lower-left depicts an agave plant, used for mezcal. The lower-right depicts the Cerro de las Ventanas hill, which can be seen from the Municipal Seat.
