No Flag

The council informed me Anáhuac does not use a municipal flag.

Coat of Arms

The coat of arms of Anáhuac was adopted in 1984, being designed by Mónico Hernández, from the department of Drawing and Design in the Secretariat of Hydraulic Resources. The coat of arms has a similar form to the coat of arms of the state, having at the top a knight's helmet and at the bottom a ribbon in the national colors reading "PERSISTENCIA TRABAJO PRODUCCION" [Persistence, Work, Production]. At the top of the border are the years 1933 and 1993, the second probably being the creation of this specific version; at the bottom is "CIUDAD ANAHUAC" with a cow's head in between the words. The sides of the coat of arms depict an ear of corn, sorghum, and cob of corn for agriculture. The inner area is divided into four sections and has an inescutcheon in the center. The upper-left section is an aerial representation of the urban area of the municipal seat. The upper-right section is a representation of the "Don Martín" dam. The lower-left section depicts a river in its upper half and a bridge over it. The lower half depicts a tractor plowing a field. The lower-right section depicts the monument in the central plaza of the city, with four trees and its walkway also visible.

Old Version of the Coat of Arms

image from archivos.juridicas.unam.mx.mx

This version reads 1984 instead of 1993, its adoption date. The motto in the ribbon in the National Colors is "PRODUCCION Y PROGRESO" [Production and Progress]. There is no cow head between its name and the upper half of the lower-left section does not depict the river and bridge.
