The coat of arms was adopted in 1996, being designed by Catarino Rodríguez and some details were added by the teacher María Luisa Galindo Montemayor. It was adopted through a contest held in the municipality. The shield is scrolled. To the sides, ribbons in the National Colors. At the bottom, the motto HOMBRES, TIERRA, RIO [Men, Land, Water]. At the top a scroll reading JUAREZ, COAH. 1866, the year of its foundation. The upper-left section depicts the gazebo in the Municipal Plaza, in the background a brick roof. Under this is a small triangle depicting the Don Martín Dam, where the Sabinas and Salado rivers unite. To the upper-right, the sun and land by a river on which a bovine, sheep, and cob of corn can be seen, representing cattle-raising and agriculture respectively. The lower section depicts Benito Juárez, who the municipality is named after, next to multiple scrolls.
