Sagaing Region of Myanmar has a new flag and logo. The regional assembly adopted new symbols on 30th September 2019, effective 1st October 2019.

The government put the design of the flag and logo to the public on 11 September 2019 and the winner was paid Myanmar Kyat 500,000 (359 USD at the time of this post) for the flag and another Myanmar Kyat 500,000 was paid to the logo designer. Both designs are credited to Khine Zar Mon.

The flag is green, with a central emblem of a crouching lion in yellow. The name is written in yellow above the emblem in Burmese script.
