The municipality of Dolneni (13,568 inhabitants; 412.43 sq. km) is made
of the village of Dolneni and the settlements of Belo Pole, Brailovo, Branče, Gorno Selo, Gostiražci, Dabjani, Debrešte, Desovo, Dolgaec, Drenovci, Dupjačani, Žabjani, Žitoše, Zabrčani, Zapolžani, Zrze, Kostinci, Košino, Kutleševo, Lažani, Lokveni, Malo Mramoraci, Margari, Nebregovo, Novoselani, Peštalevo, Rilevo, Rolotovo, Sarandinovo, Sekirci, Slepče, Slivje, Sredorek, Strovija and Crinipište.
Located in south-western North Macedonia, in the north of the plain of Pelagonia.
Dolneni is famous for the Pece Atanovski folk music festival, "very
uncommercial and authentic". The festival is named after
the Macedonian bagpipe soloist and band director who won in 1968 in Sicily the
first prize in a competition involving 1,800 bagpipers from all over
the world.

The flag of Dolneni (Macedonian Ministry of Local
Self-Government website, page no longer online), is in proportions 1:2, horizontally divided blue-white with the municipal emblem in the center.
The leaves in the base of the emblem are tobacco leaves, tobacco being one of the main crops in North Macedonia.
