The municipality of Bogdanci (8,707 inhabitants; 114.54 sq. km) is located near the southern border of North Macedonia, not far from the river Vardar and the border town of Gevgelia. It is made of the town of Bogdanci proper and the three settlements of Gjavato, Selemli and Stojakovo.

The flag of Bogdanci, as once shown in the website of the Ministry of Local Self-Government, is in proportions 1:2, quartered blue and red, with five broad, rectangular teeth at fly and the municipal emblem in the center of the flag.
The inscription on the emblem says "Bogdanci/Makedonija" in Cyrillic somewhat archaic letters.
