During the Libyan Civil War in 2011, I noticed many variants of the national
flag re-adopted by the National Transitional Council were wrongly made or
produced in such odd ways that they looked unprofessional. This was likely due
to the flags being homemade, as not all flag companies in the country at the
time were aligned with the anti-Gaddafists and probably would not have wanted to
manufacture the flag of a group opposing them.

According to one person, this variant was because green was affiliated with the Gaddafi regime.
