Grigiskes (Vilnius City) - on a silver field a blue pale with
a silver watermark: on the head of an ox a cross entwined by a
crowned grass-snake. Flag proportions 2:3, fringe is silver,
finial is a silver knob. Though Grigiskes town was established
just in 1923 together with a paper factory, but paper production
is traditional for that area between Vilnius and Trakai cities.
Therefore the local watermark used in 1496 symbolizes the
traditional and major paper industry.
Actually, Grigiskes depends to the Vilnius City municipality as
eldership: it is the only town in Lithuania depending to city
municipality (not mentioning cities themselves).
