The Ministry of Legislation ("MOLEG") is responsible for the legislative affairs of the executive branch of the government of the Republic of Korea ("Korea"). MOLEG's main mission is to examine and review all legislative bills introduced by the executive branch. MOLEG also operates the Administrative Appeals Commission, a body established under the Prime Minister to protect citizens from any infringement of their rights or interests by illegal and unreasonable acts of administrative agencies. In addition, MOLEG has the authority to issue authoritative interpretation of laws and regulations, and implements measures to assure public's access and participation in legislative process. Presently, all laws and regulations of Korea are available on the Internet via the homepage of MOLEG. In all of the aforesaid areas, MOLEG's role is to ensure the constitutionality of the laws
and regulations and to eliminate inconsistencies among various legislations.
