The Korean rapper Young Cream (b. 1990 as Kim Ki Sook), member of M.I.B (Most
Incredible Busters), proposed on his Facebook account to change the national
flag, as follows:
"Honestly, I don't like our red flag. When elected President, I will change it.
This is a nonsense, the flag looks like the flag with rising sun (Japan). In a
subsequent message, Young Cream posted a drawing of the flag with
the emblem plain blue, labelled "I am Korean, this is my flag".
The messages stirred angry reactions among the fans of M.I.B, who fear that
these disrespectful statements damage the image of the band. Young Cream first
rejected the comments, claiming that they had been made by "unfair fans"; he
eventually apologized after the wider distribution of his message.
