Located in Saga City Saga prefecture and established in 1949.
The embroidery ceremonial flag has blue and blue green horizontal two-color background with multicolor university emblem and gold fringe.
The university flag has blue and blue green horizontal bicolor background with multicolor
emblem in the center and white kanji university name at four corner.
The university emblem was designed to appeal to the "university character" and "regional character," and features a familiar and prestigious seal script with the motif of a magpie, a bird that is abundant in the Saga Plain and other areas of Japan, protected as a natural treasure, and well known as the prefectural bird of Saga Prefecture, in a design that is both new and familiar.
