Located in Onomichi City Hiroshima Prefecture and established in 2001.
The university flag has white background with a light green and black emblem in the center.
The emblem was adopted in 2004. The design consists of the letters "大學" (university) and cherry petals, the flower of Onomichi City which was also used as the emblem of Onomichi Junior College.
The colors are green for fresh greenery and blue for the Seto Inland Sea.
