Located in Bunkyo City Tokyo and was established in 1949.
The ceremonial embroidery flag has reddish purple background charged with a gold and silver university emblem and is vertically written in gold kanji university name and gold fringe.
The university flag has magenta pink background with a white university emblem in the center.
The university emblem is designed as "大學" on a "tea flower". The name of the university ocha means tea. Originally a university name derived from the name of a place, the "tea flower" has a pure white, dignified appearance with a hint of elegant fragrance.
The language of tea flowers is "remembrance" and "pure love," and the design has the style of an academic emblem with the word "大學" in the motif of flowers that fit the image of a women's university.
