Located in Nagaoka City Niigata Prefecture and established in 1976.
The university flag has white background with a blue and red symbol-mark in the center and the university name in black Chinese characters written horizontally.
The symbol mark represents a university that is always flexible, yet has sharp ideas sensitive to the times, and thinks about the global environment with love and passion. The "N" of Nagaoka is used as a motif, and the fresh "blue" color extending sharply and flexibly to the sky represents the environment, while the "red" color enveloping it expresses the fact that the university always thinks about all aspects of the global environment with love and passion.
