Located in Kobe City Hyogo Prefecture and established in 1964.
The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark red background with a gold, silver, and green emblem and vertically written in gold kanji university name in gold fringe.
The university emblem symbolizes the school motto: the outer six stars represent green pine trees, the central hexagon represents white snow, and there is a clover on either side with kanji abbreviated university name "甲大" in the center. The snow white at the center of the emblem symbolizes "clean", the clover "gentle", the overall regular shape "correct", and the green pine tree "strong", respectively.
