Located in Komatsu City Ishikawa Prefecture and established in 2018. The university flag has white background with a blue and black symbol mark in the center. The symbol mark of Komatsu University was supervised by Ms. Naoko Yamazaki, an astronaut and special assistant to the president of Komatsu University . The concept of the school emblem, "blue for intelligence and spirit" and "black for stability and infinity," indicates the direction "from Komatsu to the future" that Komatsu Public University is aiming for. It is also reminiscent of the shining blue earth that orbits in the universe. They hope that Komatsu University will nurture human resources who will open up the future in cooperation with the local community and with a broad perspective.
