Located in Takamatsu City Kagawa Prefecture and established in 1949.
The ceremonial embroidery university flag has yellowish green background charged with a gold-colored emblem and horizontally written in gold-colored kanji university name and gold-colored fringe.
The university flag has white background with a yellowish green university emblem in the center. The yellowish-green color is defined as DIC 365.
The university emblem was adopted to respond to the philosophy of the new "Kagawa University" on the occasion of the merger of the former Kagawa University and the former Kagawa Medical University into the new Kagawa University in October 2003.
The university emblem is a symbol that expresses the philosophy and goals of the new Kagawa University and shows its global development on a global scale, and the university color green was established to reflect the warm climate of Kagawa, which produces olives.
