Located in Suita City Osaka Prefecture and established in 1922.
The embroidered ceremonial flag has purplish blue background with a gold emblem in gold fringe.
The university flag has purplish blue background with a white emblem in the center.
The university emblem consists of the kanji characters "大學" surrounded by a reed leaf. It is said that the reed leaves, which are growing strong in the constant flow of the Yodo River that runs through Osaka, and which have withstood the wind and rain, represent the university's spirit of quality and soundness that has developed over the years since its founding as Kansai Law School in 1886 (Meiji 19) in Naniwa, Osaka.
