Located in Toyota City Aichi Prefecture and established in 1959.
The embroidered ceremonial flag has purplish blue background with a gold and silver emblem in the center and horizontally written in gold kanji university name in gold fringe.
The emblem is a graphic rendition of the kanji letters "愛工大"an abbreviation name.
The name was changed from Nagoya Denki University to the current Aichi Institute of Technology in 1960, and the university emblem design was announced the following year.
