White coat of arms on light blue (cerulean blue) field. Outlined 4 triangles in a disc in the center. The disc represents Aogashima Island and eternity. The larger triangle composed of three triangles stands for volcanic crater and
small triangle inside for inner volcano. Coat-of-arms adopted June 28 1974. Flag unlegislated.
