The village emblem was adopted on Apr 1st 1978 but there is no flag law.
The blue flag has a yellow village emblem in the center.
The village emblem is a combination of a stylized kanji 東 Higashi and the sun.
The ray symbolizes the rising sun from eastern horizon and the folding-fan does the village’s unlimited development.
The blue color stands for the villagers wisdom and the yellow color for the sun and the village’s rich crop.
