The flag of Minamiosumi town is white with symbol. The town was founded on
2005 from merger of the towns of Nejime and Sata.

The town emblem was adopted on Aug 1st 2005 by Notice No 149 but there is no flag law.
The white flag has a blue, a light blue and an orange three color town emblem in the center.
The town emblem is stylized M and O of MinamiOsumi.
The dynamic lines of the row of mountains and the waves symbolize a power of a development of the town.
It represents an image of the southernmost town from which the culture expands and developes.
