The city emblem was adopted on Aug 1st 2005 by Notice No 2 but there is no flag law.
The white flag has a blue, a green and an orange three color city emblem in the center.
The city emblem is a stylized kanji 八 Yatsu and 6 Ro.
The number 6 symbolizes merged six city, town and villages.
The blue color stands for the rivers and the sea, the green color for the mountains and plains and the orange color for the resident’ passion.
