The town emblem was adopted on Oct 1st 1974 by Notice No 92 but there is no flag law. The green flag has a white town emblem in the center.
The town emblem is a stylized katakana ナ Na of Nagasu in a form of a plover. The circle symbolizes a peace and a cooperation.
The center horizontal line is a ship representing the shipbuilding industry and the town’s development.
