The city flag was adopted on May 1st 1974 by Notice No 16.
The purple flag has a yellow and a white flag emblem in the center
which is different from the city emblem.
The flag emblem depicts a maple and a plum which represent an image
of the city which is strongly developing.
The seven maple leaves stand for an earth, water, fires, winds, sky, views
and sights, the plum flower for a cleanliness, a goodness, an endurance and the
trunk for a firmness and a surge.
It represents a solidarity and a surge of the city.
The flag proportion is 2: 3.
The diameter of the emblem is 3/5 height of the flag.
